NORTHERN CALIFORNIA : UKIAH VALLEY : MATERNITY FAMILY SESSION

SOMEONE'S Baby Shower is just about to start & I wanted to get this wonderful Session posted just for them!! xo

Yesterday, I had the privilege of playing Photographer with this beautiful, young Family!

Our kids go to School together & Meagan reached out months ago to get this Maternity Session on the books! Having done the School Photos for Gavin? I knew we would have way too much fun! He's a doll!

You may recognize our barn from many past Sessions. It makes the perfect back-drop + gives me the perfect light to start with as we wait for the late-afternoon light to settle in...my favorite starting point for a photo shoot! Let's go, cuties!

Meagan!! OMG - - gorgeous, gorgeous Momma!! And, her hair looked positively amazing!!!

 One thing that was totally apparent as we shot? Gavins' love for his Family...he's a snuggler. Shhh...don't let him know I told ya...!

...of course, he likes to be goofy, too!

Before leaving the house, I wanted to get a couple softer shots just for Momma...

Next we trekked up the mountains just a bit to a spot I just adore...

The boys were so patient while I turned my attention to this beautiful, glowing Mommy...

Denton + Meagan are still technically 'Newlyweds' - didn't wanna miss this traditional shot!As we headed out of the hills, I asked Gavin if he wanted to stop on this fun Tree I spotted for a moment. His joy & excitement for his new baby sisters' arrival was evident throughout the shoot today - but, I wouldn't be surprised if he maybe...just maybe...has a few tricks to teach her when she's ready!?Soon - very soon - this photo will have a beautiful baby girl to add to it!! ...wishing you an AMAZING  & very smooth journey as you start your new Beginnings, Ramsey Family!! Oh my goodness! Yesterday, I got to meet little Miss Acevedo!! WELCOME TO THE WORLD, Mia!! What an awesome feeling to be there to document this time in your lives! THANK YOU!

To be honest, I usually shy away from babies. But, when Cynthia reminded me I was the only one who had ever taken photos for them - I just knew I had to be there.

Mia is now 9 wks old & so alert + vocal. What an absolute doll! But, like all little angels, she really needed her nap - so, we just stuck with 'snuggle' photos...shhh....

 ...and, Daddy is just AMAZING with his girls. So precious...!

Cynthia said the only thing that really mattered was making sure to have a nice Family photo of this moment in their lives. I am, once again, thoroughly honored to be the one putting something so adorable up in your home...! Love you, guys!! xo

SONOMA COUNTY MATERNITY SESSION : BABY LILY

As Families, we all go through a 'transition' once we start the Journey to become Parents. Some of those Journeys are quick + easy...others can play out a tad bit longer. Regardless of how we get there? I truly believe everything happens for a reason...this is their reason...that look, their love...it's something you couldn't plan or prepare for ~ it just happens...

When I first met Bethany, it was immediately apparent she was meant to be a Mom. She was a totally hands-on Parent-figure to her young nephew - who was also the absolute sparkle in the entire Families' eyes! Little Giovani was adorable, spunky & positively fun to watch...now he's growing up & I'm sure quite an amazing young man! ...soon, it will be Lily's turn to shine + shower this Family with joy!

I know Bethany + Daniel's Journey brought them together for all the right reasons...if for nothing else ~ to show this little lady all the amazing things this World has to offer...and, I also know that Miss Lily is going to have 2 amazing big-brother figures looking out for her!! UKIAH VALLEY MATERNITY SESSION : COMING SOON

I had the honor + privilege of creating some amazing images for a friend this past week. We've known her + her Family for nearly a decade now & I've always loved hearing stories about her son...he & our daughter are so much alike in so many ways - which brings a smile to my heart.

Erica is due in just a few weeks with her 2nd little boy, so I'm really glad us busy Mommas find time to get these in!

Erica's one of those 'mysterious' souls...she's bright & giving, yet quiet & subdued. So, when she told me her & her husband were starting this Journey? It was ME squealing...she probably just smiled that simple, all-knowing smile...I actually wouldn't really know - I'm always face-down on her massage table when we're together. She's a healer - so, to be able to give her something back after all she's given me brings me tremendous joy...

Awww ~ there's that big smile! xo

Erica, I hope you know just how beautiful you are ~ inside + out! You're positively glowing right this moment...and I hope that light continues to shine on you + your new Family as you nurture one another for all these years to come...we love you all & can not WAIT to see your Family blossom! xo

SONOMA COUNTY MATERNITY SESSION : PRINCESS ACEVEDO

Thinking back, I realize Niels & I jumped into Larsen's Photography about the same exact time we started planning to get Pregnant. What we didn't realize? We were crazy!

Both change your Life in more ways than you could ever imagine!

As Larsen's began to grow, I quickly saw how much time was needed to manage a thriving business - as well as be there for our daughter (who is the most important + best choice we've ever made). For me, that meant sticking to one 'niche' of Photography. Weddings.

Recently, I received an email from a very special couple that we were honored to share their Wedding day with in 2010. She mentioned that I'd also shot their Engagement session for them & they just couldn't imagine anyone else documenting this next step in their Journey together...as they become Parents to a little girl!

I was touched - - our own little girl is now in school most of the day & I've actually found some TIME to do both! I get to take photos + be a Mom again when the clock turns 3? Let's do it!!

It's been 4 yrs since I shot my last Maternity Session. But, I love Ramiro + Cynthia. I knew once we got together it would be all laughter & comfort - and I was right. Their home is sooo cute + cozy & they were both beaming...everything fell right into place as we started to shoot...

This picture of them makes me smile...you are stunning, Cynthia...!

After doing what we could at the house, we drove up the road to a friends' to take advantage of the outdoors. It's been freezing here in NorCal - so, I'm glad it was just warm enough for our Mommy...!

Ramiro missed work, Cynthia braved the elements + all my location exploration...and, I hope I was able to create some photos that will always remind them of this special time in their Lives - as two becomes three...

What a wonderful time to have the opportunity to reconnect with some of our past Clients + Friends...Congratulations, you guys!! I can't wait to meet that little girl!!! xo
