SONOMA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER : SAINT FRANCIS SOLANO CHURCH : JACK LONDON LODGE

There you are...it's been 6 wonderful years together - you’re on an intimate & beautiful Italian escape - just the two of you...well, and 70 other Tourists that don’t speak a lick of English...!

All your friends have teased you that THIS is finally it! You’re getting Engaged...but, there’s no way he’d be so silly as to bring an expensive ring all the way to Italy...or would he?!!

Lonica knew her friends were right...not only when Ian suggested they take an intimate stroll mid-day (he never does THAT!)...but, when she saw the shape of a box silohetted in his pocket...her heart was racing...she had been HOPING this was coming...and, it was actually, truly HAPPENING!!

Fast Forward about a year & here we are...in Lonica’s adorable home-town of Sonoma. Sharing this day with their closest Family & Friends - - some life-long connections from childhood & High School...some new ones from her Job...all of which were in awe of just how GORGEOUS she looked this day...!

I met the ladies at a nearby home of a family friend to get dressed. It was a perfect location with simple, yet beautiful decor. THANK YOU for letting us invade your space!
The Brides' sister made these Bridal gifts herself...beautiful!
Niels met up with the boys at the Town Square Bar - where Lonica had a couple special gifts for her Groom...!
As we converged at the Saint Francis Solano Church & I'd have to say - she's READY!!
Following the Ceremony, we headed over to Jack London Lodge - a tranquil property for lounging right along the creekside in Glen Ellen.
We had met Lonica & Ian last year at one of our favorite Hyatt Vineyard Creek Weddings.
It was so fun to be around a ton of familiar faces for the day!
Entertaining himself while we focus on his gorgeous Bride?
We headed to the Cocktail hour for introductions before sneaking away for a few more Formals...
Oooh - SNACK TIME!
As the sun set behind the hills, everyone was ready to PARTY!
...we crossed the Parking Lot with our gear & headed out, Niels glanced over & asked me if I was crying...well, yah. I kinda was.

When I went to grab our good-night hugs, Lonica told me just how much it meant to her to have fellow High School Sweethearts documenting their day for them. I immediately choked up.

I guess I just forget the "High School Sweethearts" thing now that we're Parents...and approaching 40. I more think "old fuddy - duddies". But, she's right - 23 yrs later - plenty of ups/downs, beautiful journeys & amazing Adventures - we're still those young, fun High School Sweeties at heart! Thank you for reminding me...

CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. & Mrs. Furniss - and here are fond wishes for your own "Happily Ever After...!" xo
