I can remember waaay back to Summer 2011 ~ I was chatting with Lauren about her Wedding...she told me, "We'll be taking you down the Rabbits' Hole ~ but, not too far!" ...as she chuckled. (or maybe that was me) I was so excited! Being avid Disney connoisseurs, I couldn't WAIT for their day to arrive - - and here it is!!! Stunning, elegant, fun & positively gushing with their adoration for each other ~ perfection!
Jason & Lauren planned their special day all the way from Texas! Luckily, they had plenty of support from their local Family & Friends. Her Mom actually lives very close to us ~ we're basically neighbors...!
I met the Ladies at the Brides' Mothers' home which was just stunning! Just like these Italian shoes we weren't really sure we'd even get to wear (which she did!). GORGEOUS!
Lauren's nieces were sooo cute...! The littlest one just got lost in...FLUFF!!
Now, THAT'S a true friend!
Although the 1st Rain of Fall had been heavy all night, it was taking a quick break for our Reveal! YAY!

With 100+ people huddled together as the rain poured ~ it was THE perfect backdrop for a Wedding...we sure live in a magical place here in Northern California!
With the light fading quickly, and the clouds moving constantly, we had to shoot pretty fast...otherwise, I could've shot this adorable + fun group all day!!

Now, we've been to a lot of Weddings...but, I think this is the 1st time we've had such a wonderfully incorporated 'Theme' - with so so many details in all directions! I was swooning! literally! "Wait! Niels! Did you see this?! Oh my! Look at THAT!" Lauren's older Sister spent her entire Summer preparing details for this day! Believe it or not, the Weather actually held them back from brining it all out! I was LOVING her about this time...and the Bride & Groom for choosing us to be here with them!
The unique Floral designs for every setting were sweet, fun & elegant!
A full Cake + Dessert selection!? It just keeps coming!
The time & love put into this Wedding is so SO apparent!
A Pecan Pie for the Groom ~ his fav!
I don't know if these catering 'friends' do many Weddings, but they SHOULD!
The food was Ahhh-MAZING!

For the kids? A huge table of goodies to sift through! They had a BLAST!

I think the 1st dance is often an 'exhale' moment for the new Bride & Groom....especially when they do it right away at their Reception. They've spent the whole day getting ready, taking photos & being pulled in all directions - they now get to come back together & just take some time to 'be.' Watching them always makes me smile...so, so precious. The singing, the laughing, the embrace - it doesn't get any more genuine.
Here come the Moms!
Every time I turned around, these two were just having a 'moment'...that's what it's ALL about!
...and getting a little bit messy with some YUMMY cake!!

Lauren + Jason!! What a fun & romantic day! You two thought of just about EVERYTHING! I hope the memories (and photos) keep it alive in your hearts for decades + decades to come!! And, I'm sure Santa Cruz was the PERFECT place to unwind & enjoy your 1st few days together as HUSAND & WIFE!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! xo
