The thing about Weddings...

They expose nothing but the Truth - you don't actually get to hide behind that perfect make-up & the fanciest dress of your life - reality shines brighter than ever through all things that sparkle & shimmer....trust me.

After having done this so many times over the years, as a Photographer, I see & learn so much about the people we work with. A Wedding day speaks volumes.

For example - when your entire bridal party is shedding tears as you approach down the aisle - when the whole crowd joins in your laughter throughout the entire Ceremony - when everyone gets those personal jokes throughout the night?

That is pure joy - true love - and what this day should most certainly be about!

I want to start with a genuine Thank you to Grant & Christina for renewing my faith in all that this day represents - and reminding me of why Niels & I so love sharing this day with our Clients...it couldn't have come at a more perfect time!

We started our day out at their Family Ranch - with endless touches in every direction that Christina had worked so hard to pull together - and, I have to say - she did AMAZING!! Grant made the comment a few times throughout the day how he really had no idea what Christina was doing or thinking as she planned their Wedding - that she just kept tossing more & more projects at him to work on. He was positively awestruck as it all came together - and he could finally see what her vision had become.

I might just dub this the "Pinterest Wedding" of the year - Christina had all kinds of fun ideas she wanted me to recreate...thank you, ladies, for being so up for 'playing'!!

Now, I was told 'not too much Traditional' when it came to my Photography...so, let's not be Traditional!!

The Flower girls were perfection!!

Christina let me know that her group of Friends assembled for this day might...just maybe...plan on having some 'refreshments' thought-out the day & might possibly be having lots of fun during photos? You know?...they did have fun - - but, they worked great, too!! THANK YOU!! xo

Now, it's finally my fav. time - - time to get those photos that mean the most - - the Mr + Mrs!!

I think poor Grant was about ready to jump out of his skin at this point...watching us work, gazing at his new Bride. He is beyond smitten with his beautiful girl!!

I love getting them together - he couldn't take his eyes off of her!

When her new Father-in-law shattered her chandelier she'd chosen for the night during set up? Christina was so wrapped up in enjoying her moment - she didn't even notice his replacement! He came clean & admitted it during evening speeches & she didn't even seem to care...that's my kind of girl!!
